for a beautiful garden in the spring you don't have to grow flowers in the house ( which probably won't do too well, anyway )

plant all the bulb flowers later this month, in the fall.....for spring blooms...

tulip

crocus

hyacinth

daffodil

day lily ( all kinds, spring and summer )

lily of the valley ( tubers, not bulbs )

your garden will bloom all spring
Reply:bulb flowes like tulip plant in fall you can jump start others in house in spring.
Reply:depends on what kind of garden you want. You want a flower garden or veggie or herb garden. Tomatoes can be started inside, but I would still wait a little while before starting those. other veggies grow pretty quick and spread out. You can do herbs or small flowers. Just look at seed packets and decide from there.
Reply:Yes, buy the seeds this fall.....they are on sale!!!! (at most places) But put them in the freezer and wait til around March to start them indoors (most seeds can be started in doors 6 - 8 weeks before the first frost). Check out this article for more information on starting seeds indoors: http://www.savvygardener.com/Features/st...

Around February/March start looking for bulbs too in the garden centers. I started Angel Wing Begonias and Caladiums in doors this year (much easier than seeds).

Hope this helps! =o)
