Types of Flowers?

I live in Ogden, UT and I was wondering what type of plants, shrubbs, bushes, etc. can you plant that will live all year long but then when spring/summer comes they bloom back with beautiful flowers.

Types of Flowers?
Look at iris flowers they come in a array of colors the bulbs are very hardy and can go through many seasons, and except snails which like to nibble on the leaves its pretty bug free not like roses with their aphids and mold diseases.

Depending on where you plant them they can give flowers for months. Mine are blooming now but my Dad who lives 40 miles from me won't have blooms until June or July. Find a catalog that does bulbs and they will tell you what flowers all year around and what just flowers in certain seasons.
Reply:roses can give you flowers all summer long !!
Reply:I live in Tn. and I planted tulips last spring and they came up this year, and they are beautiful. The only thing I did was weed around them, and water them. I also have mini burning bushes they are gorgeous and pretty low maintenance. The leaves on the bushes are a pretty red. We also have a Japanese maple, and it was slow to grow but has really taken off now, and we haven't done anything to it, they are really pretty trees, and low to maintain. Good Luck!!!
