Does anyone know what the southern irish folks call "whin bushes"?

we are debating this, and we know they have a different name from us northern irish.

(whin bush......found on rough ground, covered in beautiful yellow flower from early spring)

Does anyone know what the southern irish folks call "whin bushes"?
gorse or furze
Reply:It's Kate Bushes sisters
Reply:When gorse is out of flower ,kissings out of season
Reply:The actual bush is Gorse, other names it is known by are Furse, Furze and of course Whin. I dont know who calls it what.
Reply:"Whin Bushes" are also referred as "Gorse". Pigs like them, the prickles are sometimes ground and given to horses because its suppose to make their coat shinier and some use this "Gorse" bush to dye eggs for easter.

So to answer your question, "Gorse".
