Should i cut down my bushes now before it snows or should i wait?

we have 2 really big bushes in the front of our house, i wanna tear em down and plant flowers and stuff next spring.

should i cut them down now or should i wait till spring and then do it all at once?

does itm ake a difference?

thanks

I'd do it now so the bed can be prepared and amended with composted material before Spring arrives. I always prepare all my beds in late Autumn, but you can start now if you like.

Good Luck
Reply:Since your goal is to kill and remove the bushes it does not make any difference whether fall or spring are healthier for them - they are discards anyway.

I would agree with sptfyr that now is better since the ground can be taken care of and be in good shape by spring plantingf time.
Reply:If you're getting rid of them, go ahead now and do it. If you just want to shape them, wait until a good hard frost, that way new growth won't come out and then get frostbitten. In the latter case, you may want to wait till Jan. or Feb.
Reply:trimming trees or bushes is best done in the fall
