What can I do about my ugly box spring?

I have and horribly ugly mattress and boxspring the background color is black with blue, purple and pink flowers. I can easily cover up my mattress with sheets and mattress pads so I can't really see the design but the boxspring still shows. Is it common for people to put some sort of cover or sheet on boxsprings. I can't put a bed skirt on because of the design of the actual bed. What can I do to cover up this ugly design?

Put a fitted sheet on it,or get a zippered mattress cover and slide it in and zip it up.
Reply:Try putting a bed skirt on it with velcro or double faced tape.

Put it on all the way around the edge of the boxspring, then attach the skirt. That way its easily removabe to be laundered or change the skirt to change the look of the decor in your room, whenever the need arises.

You could also try putting a fitted sheet on the box spring too...

If you know anyone who sews, you could ask them to make you a custom one. They should be able to figure it out just by doing a search on google images.

Reply:You could upholster it! Why not? Wal-Mart has a lot of really nice fabrics, believe it or not, that you could staple onto the outside of the boxspring. Just staple top and bottom. Keep your seams on the ends of the boxspring where they will be less noticeable.
Reply:Put a sheet on the box spring too. that way you wont see the ugly design.
