Spring bulbs coming up - help?

I planted my spring bulbs in mid to late september this year. I've never planted bulbs before as I am quite new to gardening and I may have been a bit hasty in getting them in the ground. Some of them are growing already - I can just see the tips of them starting to come through the soil. What do I do now - I'd like them to flower when they were supposed to flower not in November!! HELP - I hope I don't have to remove them as I have planted hundreds!!

Spring bulbs coming up - help?
They should be fine. If you are experiencing warm conditions, they may start to break the surface but will stop when cooler weather begins. You may wish to mulch the growing tips with some straw hay before the freezing weather comes to prevent them from getting frost damage. In spring you can remove the straw or leave it in place as the bulbs will grow right through this mulch. You must have planted some Daffodil bulbs as this variety does this all the time during warmer fall weather. Hope this answers your question.

Added info: do not use topsoil to cover them with. The soil microbes will rot the green growth if left covered for any length of time.

Reply:Your welcome, glad I could help. Put the bark chips on only when the colder freezing weather begins. Cover "loosely" with the chips to allow the tips to breath. Report It
Reply:put some topsoil or compost on top to make the bulbs deeper in the ground, then leave them to nature, they will flower when they want to.
Reply:not much you can do its mother nature .don`t remove them they will flower when they are ready.now the shoots are growing you can`t do anything but enjoy them.
Reply:Don't worry they will be fine. Some might come into flower early but a majority of them will flower at the correct time.

Quite a few plants seem to be out of kilter this year. I have had snowdrops flowering this month and Hellebores flowering in August.
Reply:don't worry and don't do anything...they will be fine...the weather has been so warm and mild lately so that has caused some new growth
Reply:Not to worry. They will be fine. Ours were coming up last January because we had an unusually warm December and first week of January. Some of them were up 2-3 inches before winter set in. When spring arrived, they grew normally and had beautiful blossoms that survived three nights of lower 20 degree weather the first week in April.

Reply:They wil be fine. They will freeze back when it gets clod, but should come back out in the spring.
